JADE'S STORY
In 2011, nine year-old Jade was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer. After many radiation treatments, Jade's thyroid was surgically removed.

Jade was left with a 12-inch curved scar on her neck.
Insurance covered one scar revision treatment that left little to no improvement. Insurance denied additional treatment to improve Jade's scar.
In 2017, Jade has received over $20,000 in scar therapy treatments paid for by the Survivors of Violence Foundation. Jade continues to receive treatment through the Foundation to improve
her scar and confidence.
